Summary

CPEX partnered with project lead CSRS and Office of Community Development to conduct outreach and engagement in Phase 2 of the Isle de Jean Charles Resettlement. Through this process, CPEX outlined an extensive outreach and engagement plan, which kept the message consistent and engagement to all stakeholders from past and present island residents, to elected officials, tribal members, community partners, new community neighbors, and the media consistent throughout the project.

CPEX also encouraged individual and household case-by-case engage to ensure that the vast needs of each resident was met, that each resident had what they needed in the new community, and access was preserved to the island that they have strong ties to.

CPEX understands the players and the politics related to the Isle de Jean Charles Resettlement, as well as the most effective ways to reach residents, elected officials, tribal members, neighbors, and other partners to ensure their desire are reflected in the design of the new neighborhood.
